Tungsten carbide is hard, brittle and sensitive to heat, so the wheel you choose decides edge quality, cycle time and tool life. A diamond wheel for carbide must cut freely without burning, hold the geometry of narrow contact areas, and leave a chip-free edge. Fengzuan supplies resin, vitrified and bronze bond diamond wheels for carbide drills, end mills, reamers, inserts, rods and dies.

Shapes for Carbide Tool Grinding
1A1 diamond wheel for flutes and OD
The 1A1 straight wheel grinds flutes and outer diameters; the layer edge can be radiused to your drawing.
11A2 diamond wheel for clearance angles
The flaring cup gives clearance to the cutting edge and is the most common sharpening wheel.
12A2 diamond dish wheel for gashes and rake faces
The thin dish reaches into flutes and between teeth.
6A2 / 6A2T and 14E1
Cup wheels for flat faces of inserts; 14E1 for threads, chamfers and profiles.

Which Bond for Carbide?
- Resin bond – the standard for carbide: sharp, cool, wet or dry, fine finish. Resin bond diamond wheels
- Vitrified bond – profile holding and easy dressing for precision edges. Vitrified bond wheels
- Bronze bond – maximum life where form holding matters more than free cutting. Metal bond wheels
Wheels for CNC end-mill grinders are made to the wheel pack dimensions of your machine; send the drawing or wheel marking.
Why Source from Fengzuan
- Own factory: founded in 2022 in Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province, China, with production in-house from cold pressing on hydraulic presses to sintering, curing or firing, precision turning, dynamic balancing and truing.
- Made to your drawing: non-standard diameters, layer sizes, profiles, grits and concentrations matched to your machine and material, with the drawing confirmed before production.
- Diamond and CBN in three bond systems: resin, vitrified and bronze, so we recommend the bond that fits the job rather than the one we happen to stock.
- Export ready: protective individual packing, export cartons and international express shipment on FOB terms to buyers in Russia, the USA, Germany, the UAE and Qatar.
- Fast answers: inquiries answered within 24 hours, China Standard Time (UTC+8).
Not sure which wheel fits? Describe the workpiece, the machine and the result you need, and our team will propose a complete specification: shape code, size, abrasive, grit, concentration and bond.

Frequently Asked Questions
What grit is best for carbide end mills?
Typically a coarser grit for fluting and a finer grit for the cutting edge. We supply 80#–3000# and will recommend grits for your tool size and finish.
Why is my carbide tool chipping?
Edge chipping is often caused by too coarse a grit, too hard a bond or an unsharp wheel. Send a photo of the edge and your wheel spec and we will advise.
Can I grind carbide dry?
Yes, our resin bond diamond wheels can run wet or dry; coolant usually gives better finish and life.
Do you make wheel sets for CNC tool grinders?
Yes, made to your drawing or existing wheel pack.
Can I test before ordering?
Samples within 30 days, sample and freight charged; MOQ 15 pcs.
